To the simple Rutgers bus driver that provides a strong message. It’s crazy what happens when you just stop and listen to others. Students comment on the video that they learn more in one bus ride with Stan than the 3-hour lectures from their professors. You don’t necessarily need the degree or authority to be able to spread wisdom. I think even for the faithful, he displays that you don’t need to be in a church to preach God’s message to His people. All the time, whenever I get on the bus, he greets me “Amen, I hope you’ve been having a blessed day!” Sharing God’s word can happen on the daily, and his actions testify to that. I’m really thankful to have met this man!

Commenter 1: “Theres at least 4-5 people in the back knocked the fuck out. 2 people talkin shit. And 5 people listenin to [their] iPods.”
Commenter 2: “Yes, perhaps..but it only took one good person to film him so that he could end up here.”

"I definitely believe in God. How can you look at anything and not be overwhelmed by the miraclelousness of it?"

“I met Lola Purping during our “photo-walk” at Binondo today. She was sitting quietly at the gutter right outside the San Lorenzo Ruiz Church. I couldn’t help but noticed the big lump on her face that she is trying to cover with her hair. She would throw some shy glances at me perhaps because she felt uneasy that a big guy carrying a huge camera is staring at her. I smiled at her and she timidly smiled back at me. I sat besides her and tried to strike a conversation. Lola Purping is a street dweller from Samar. She is about 70 years old with poor eyesight and carrying a large tumor near her face. She and her grandchildren would sleep with empty stomachs on the streets where and whenever the night would catch them. I told her that she is a bit old to take care of her grandchildren. She told me that her children left her without a choice as they went to Cotobato and never returned until now. 2 days ago, she lost her few valuables, money and medicines to a pickpocket as she was going out of the church where she stays from morning till afternoon. I asked her if I can take her photo and put her story on my blog hoping that some kind souls might be able to offer some help – any help. With tears on her eyes, she nodded. If you happen to pass by San Lorenzo Ruiz Church in Binondo, you might see Lola Purping quietly sitting along the gutter when she is not inside the church praying. Please offer a kind smile to her. I would appreciate if you can share this and make it viral until it reaches the heart of someone capable of and willing to help her and her grand children.”

Maybe the child of a surgeon willing to do pro bono work will see this if we reblog a lot.

Nay, you’re strength is inspiring. And also you’re unwavering faith in God. I pray for you Nay.

She is still so beautiful.

Introducing our new game called:
“Don’t Be A Di*k During Meals With Friends.”
The first person to crack and look at their phone picks up the check.
Our (initial) purpose of the game was to get everyone off the phones free from twitter/fb/texting and to encourage conversations.
Rules:
1) The game starts after everyone has ordered.
2) Everybody places their phone on the table face down.
3) The first person to flip over their phone loses the game.
4) Loser of the game pays for the bill.
5) If the bill comes before anyone has flipped over their phone everybody is declared a winner and pays for their own meal.
Variations/house rules:
-Starting the game after everyone is seated.
-In the rare event that multiple people flip their phones simultaneously, the bill is split between said players.
- Feel free to invoke penalties/strikes systems.
Notes:
- No touching or messing with anybody else’s phones.
- You don’t have to stack the phones. This was done for picture taking purposes.
- I realize I should perhaps think of a different name for this awesome game. Because I don’t mean to imply that everyone who checks their phone during meals is a di*k.
- I recommend not being such a stickler or hardass on people about the rules and even initiation of the game. Basic premise is to just get people open to the idea of staying active and attentive to one another. But if someone has to take a call; they have to take a call =).
- Have fun! It’s really more of a fun concept in this new age high tech life of ours. Conversation is the spice of life.

lmao, this.

Lemonade by Jeremy “Passion” Manongdo
I [HEART] NJ
Concert. September 21, 2007. OLM, Jersey City, NJ

Because I was at this concert, and because this song got me very nostalgic about my middle school & high school days. He was famous before Youtube Celebrities & Tumblr Famous existed. He existed during them Xanga Days. I WOULD post the regular version of Lemonade, but the acoustic version is the one my ears and memories are most familiar with. I’m not sure how he’s doing, but I still wish him the best of luck with anything he pursues.
